About

Alexander obtained his PhD in 2020, while working as a researcher in the programming language research group at the KU Leuven in Belgium. Currently he is a Quantitative Developer at Standard Chartered Bank in London, developing back-end services in Haskell for the internal trader platform.

Interests

His main research interests are programming languages, with a particular focus on the fields of functional and probabilistic programming, about which he has published articles at top international conferences and journals.

Outside the office, he enjoys hitting his opponents with the pointy end on the fencing piste.
